DMX-h from Syncsort receives Operations Ready Certification from Hortonworks

As we close out the year, 2015 is definitely shaping up to be the year of unifying and simplifying the many components of the Hadoop ecosystem.

At Syncsort, we have been preparing a large number of exciting additions to our DMX-h product line for Hadoop: Simpler joins and aggregations, support for new file types and NoSQL data stores, improved Hive support, web monitoring, and many others.  These new features give our users greater ease of use, simpler development and deployment, and improved management of resources.

Hortonworks ops ready 150x150 DMX h from Syncsort receives Operations Ready Certification from HortonworksOn the subject of giving… Just in time for the holidays, our friends at Hortonworks have given us a gift: a new Operations Ready badge in recognition of our support for Ambari.

As organizations shift workloads to Hadoop, their Hadoop environment has to be enterprise-ready. Capabilities that facilitate large-scale deployments, monitoring, and administration will be key to overcome resistance to change and accelerate adoption. To that end, Syncsort partnered closely with Hortonworks this year to provide a clean deployment and management interface to our DMX-h Hadoop product using Ambari.

Syncsort’s integration brings new, powerful services to Apache Ambari for blending data from sources as varied as the mainframe, traditional database platforms, web log generators, social media sources, and message queues, loading analytical systems (e.g. HP Vertica) and creating rich visualizations (e.g. with Tableau). Syncsort provides an industrial-scale data integration engine running natively in Hadoop with a drag and drop graphical user interface, enabling anyone to be a Hadoop developer without the need for any coding experience.

You can read about the expansion of the Hortonworks certification program at http://hortonworks.com/blog/accelerating-adoption-enterprise-hadoop.  In addition to Operations — and the previously-launched YARN certification – partners can now also be certified for Security and Governance. This program is good for partners and customers alike.  Here at Syncsort, our participation means we are taking advantage of the latest, greatest ecosystem components. For our customers, they know we have thoroughly worked with Hortonworks to solve any integration issues in the Hadoop environment.

So here it is, in time for the holidays and yours to leverage for the entire New Year, the Syncsort DMX-h integration with Hortonworks and Ambari just got better!
