Microsoft Dynamics 365: What We Know So Far

Microsoft will unveil its latest entry into the cloud enterprise space, Microsoft Dynamics 365, at the Dynamic Communities’ Summit 16 conference on October 11 in Tampa Bay, Florida. We should have much more information about Dynamics 365 after the official announcement, but here is what we know so far:

  • This cloud-based service will combine Microsoft Dynamics Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications into one seamless system.
  • The service will feature “purpose-built applications” and integrated intelligence and insights.
  • It will feature its own app store called AppSource where customers can search for and find business apps to plug into their Dynamics ERP and CRM service. They will also be able to provide input to developers and partners to improve application development.
  • Insights and intelligence will function using new built-in AI assistants that surface actionable data and point sales teams in the right direction with suggestions for the next actions.
  • Cross-application cooperation with Office 365 will allow for an integrated business application platform.

CRM with a compelling cloud platform that will rival other cloud offerings. Its integration with Office 365 and other commonly-used business applications gives it an even bigger edge over the competition. As this story continues to develop, we will provide more information about more features, pricing and when we can expect to see Dynamics 365 on the market.
