Bank Builds Customer Base with Microsoft Power Platform & AKA

April 2, 2020   Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Find Out How This Bank is Building a Loyal Customer Base with the Help of the Microsoft Power Platform

Not long ago, the new CTO at a large regional bank made the decision to transform the bank’s digital processes. The technology that the bank was using at the time was outdated, particularly when it came to engaging with customers. To help this organization with its digital transformation, Microsoft sought out a technology partner that could meet the bank’s needs: AKA Enterprise Solutions.

Digital Transformation with AKA

AKA has extensive experience working with financial services organizations, and we focus exclusively on Microsoft technologies, including Dynamics 365 CRM. We aim to provide companies with flexible solutions that meet their immediate needs while also facilitating future growth.

When it comes to financial services, we’ve developed market-specific intellectual property (IP) while simultaneously working closely with the Microsoft Team. When Microsoft approached us about developing a solution for this particular customer, we knew we had the tools they needed.

The Power Platform Solution

To tackle the bank’s challenges, we scheduled a one-day workshop where we met with the organization’s team, talked through the hurdles they were facing, and developed a Power App that could meet their needs when it came to event management. Thanks to this new app, employees and branch managers can engage directly with customers, sharing details of local events to promote long term customer loyalty and improve customer relationships.

As a result of the workshop, the bank is now contemplating replacing their existing Salesforce system with Dynamics 365. Not only did we manage to solve their immediate challenges: we also left the door open for future improvement and growth.

What Makes the Microsoft Power Platform So Effective?

At this point, you might be wondering: how does the Microsoft Power Platform work to enable the development of these kinds of custom app solutions at such a rapid pace?

The Power Platform was built on the belief that organizations shouldn’t have to settle for imperfect solutions. Instead, there ought to be an efficient and affordable way to deliver customized apps — without the lengthy timelines and large budgets typically associated with custom development.

The Power Platform itself is actually comprised of three separate tools: Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow). Each of these three tools can be used independently, but they’re especially powerful when combined together.

One key aspect of the Power Platform is the fact that it’s built on the Common Data Service for Apps (CDS). This secure database in the Azure cloud provides a unified data schema for Power Platform apps. As a result, apps built with the Power Platform can integrate with Microsoft apps (such as Dynamics 365 CRM, Office 365, and more) as well as third party applications, including Salesforce.

Need a Custom CRM Solution? Turn to the Microsoft Power Platform

Thanks to the Power Platform, organizations large and small are no longer stuck settling for clunky, labor-intensive workarounds that can lead to errors and inefficiencies. It’s now possible to implement custom CRM solutions that integrate seamlessly with your company’s existing software systems — all at a fraction of the cost of a standard custom solution.
