The Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem for Millennials – 3 revealing questions

January 14, 2020   Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Millennials are incredibly tech-savvy and expect software to be highly customizable, easy to integrate and rich in features.

Following from the launch of CRMSoftwareBlog’s white paper 21 reasons millennials prefer Microsoft Dynamics, here is our experts’ take on the subject.

We focus on mobility, integration and flexibility, while keeping an eye on Dynamics 365 security and compliance.

The Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem for Millennials – 3 revealing questions

1 – What are the main Microsoft Dynamics aspects that attract and retain millennials?

Mobility

Millennials see time as a valuable currency which should not be wasted. They are used to answering emails, making calls, and solving problems on the go. If you put Dynamics 365 mobile version together with flexible company policy, then it is easy to work remotely while commuting, for example, and thus feel more productive and accomplished.

Integration

69% of workers waste up to 60 min/day navigating between apps which is unproductive. Millennials prefer to stay in Dynamics 365 and expect it to connect with other apps around. Luckily, multiple integration options are provided by Dynamics 365 ISVs and consultants.

Flexibility

Younger employees at Connecting Software (customer service and sales management) especially appreciate powerful customization features in Dynamics 365: an opportunity to create tailored pipelines, apply multiple filters and create fine-tuned and detailed reports.

Familiarity

The fact that they know Microsoft products inside out, also means that Microsoft Dynamics is very straightforward for them. Carina Faria, Assistant to the CEO, refers “I chose to work with Dynamics 365 because it is a Microsoft product. I have been using Microsoft products since I was in high school – it is already a routine. I’ve worked with PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, Skype, One Note, Publisher, so I for me it is natural to continue with Microsoft products“.

2 – What about security and compliance?

“After numerous data privacy scandals, millennials are concerned with personal data issues and its protection. Dynamics 365 provides a robust data security model, and add-on products ensure data protection between D365 and other Microsoft apps.” Thomas Berndorfer, founder and CEO of Connecting Software refers.

Two examples of such add-ons are:

CB Dynamics 365 Seamless Attachment Extractor

The way to keep Dynamics lean & fast and save valuable space by moving attachments to alternative storage. It is crucial that it works automatically and seamlessly: millennials don’t want to be bothered by such optimizations; they just want them to work.

CB Dynamics 365 to SharePoint Permissions Replicator

Incredibly popular with those who prefer to store Dynamics’ documents in SharePoint, this is the out-of-the-box product that ensures the correct permissions in documents in an automatic and worry-free way. It is used by thousands of active users protect their sensitive documents, including in some major financial institutions.

3 – Can I try before I buy?

For millennials, it is only natural that you should be offered a trial before the buying decision is made. For Connecting Software, that is a request that is easy to comply with.

“All our products come with a full free trial” Thomas Berndorfer explains. For example for CB Dynamics 365 to SharePoint Permissions Replicator, you can choose between a SaaS free trial or a self-hosted free trial. With the assurance that before, during or after the trial, you can get in touch with our experts, who are always more than happy to help out with any questions.
