TIBCO MDM e1597764470273 696x365 TIBCO Remains on Top in the 2020 MDM Landscape

Reading Time: 2 minutes

We’ve seen continual growth in master data management (MDM) over the past several years. The Information Difference estimates that the MDM market was worth $ 1.7 billion this last year. This growing popularity is due in large part to the understanding that data is an organization’s most important asset today.

When consolidated and matched in an accurate way, data can reveal opportunities, risks, and areas where the business can improve. As the number of data sources continues to increase and information becomes more fragmented, companies will need MDM to bring all their disparate data together in a single trusted view.

Considering implementing MDM for your business? Your first step in vendor research should be the Information Difference’s MDM Landscape Report for Q2 2020. This report offers a comprehensive evaluation of today’s leading MDM vendors and can help you decide which solution will best fit your organization’s data management needs.

Information Difference MDM Landscape Report Insights

As a specialty analyst firm, the Information Difference centers its research on master data management, data warehousing, and data quality. And each year, it releases a market survey, sharing valuable insights and educational information about the current state of the MDM market. Let’s take a look at some of the key insights from this year’s report.

First off, we’re excited to share that TIBCO EBX™ software has once again been ranked first in technology, according to the 2020 Information Difference report. The report assesses vendors’ place in the market against three criteria: 1) market strength, 2) the technology itself, and 3) its customer base.

If we dive in a little deeper we see that the technology score is derived from customer satisfaction, analyst impression of the technology, and the maturity and breadth of the technology. In the report, TIBCO ranked as one of the vendors highest in customer satisfaction based on a survey of customers.

Furthermore, market strength is derived from MDM revenue, growth, financial strength, size of the partner ecosystem, the customer base, and geographic coverage. And finally, the customer base dimension is simply the number of corporations that have bought MDM. This is represented by the size of the bubble on the report’s main graph. The larger the bubble, the broader the customer base. Spot TIBCO as the highest bubble?
