Avnet launches IT maintenance services offering for partners
Distributor Avnet Technology Solutions has launched a service for its solution provider and supplier partners to help them renew and sell IT maintenance services.
The Maintenance ServiceNow enables partners to tap Avnet to engage their customers for selling or renewing maintenance services, ensuring their customers’ services, contracts, tools, offerings and business practices are up to date.
By engaging solution providers’ and suppliers’ customers, the distributor said its team can help uncover opportunities, including those related to hardware and software renewals on existing contracts, IT maintenance services prior to warranty exit and contract consolidations. The Avnet team will also work to maintain the end-user installed records and notify partners of any related sales opportunities.
Check Point unveils the Stars Program
Security vendor Check Point Software Technologies has introduced the Stars Program, a brand-new global partner program.
According to Marie Hattar, chief marketing officer at the company, the Stars Program is tiered with four levels of accreditation: 2 Stars (Certified), 3 Stars (Skilled), 4 Stars (Expert) and the invitation-only 4 Stars “Elite” tier. Benefits of program include training and support tools, dedicated account teams, sales tools and market development funds, product margins, and incentives.
WestconGroup signs distribution agreement with FireMon
Value-added distributor WestconGroup has expanded its portfolio of security products through a new distribution agreement with FireMon. North American partners can now access the FireMon Security Intelligence Platform, which provides continuous visibility into network security infrastructure, firewall policy workflow and related IT risks.
TraceSecurity names new VP of channel sales
TraceSecurity, a cloud-based GRC management vendor, has appointed former KPMG senior leader and consultant Mike Carpenter as its new vice president of channel sales.
In his new role, Carpenter’s responsibilities include enhancing the company’s TraceCSO offering, recruiting channel partners, and enabling training and support. He will also focus on developing sales automation, market segmentation and the integration of TraceSecurity’s information security services as a channel offering.
