For your Mac device, you can download the application by following these simple instructions.
- Open the browser of your computer, and navigate to the official WhatsApp Download Page.
- Click on the .dmg file to download it.
- When you are done with the download process, open the WhatsApp .dmg file to run the Application Installer.
- The application will prompt on your first install if you plan to add it in your applications folder on your desktop dock.

- You can now launch WhatsApp on your Mac by scanning the QR code.
- Open the setting of your iPhone iOS 8.1+ > move to WhatsApp Web/Desktop.
- Log on to WhatsApp to use it.
If you don’t want to download it from the official web.whatsapp.com page, you can download and install it from the Apple App Store.
Important Note: Linux based systems, and ARM processors are not supported.
How Can You Log Out of WhatsApp Web?
Using WhatsApp Web on your own computer is safer rather than using it on some other PC. In your personal computer, you can stay logged in and safe, even when you are done with your message task. Logging out is good if you are using a public computer. Get yourself logged out on both your mobile app and the device, you are using it on.
Follow these simple steps to log out:
- Go to WhatsApp on your smartphone.
- Press on the setting icon (Also Known As Gear Icon), on the bottom right side of your mobile phone’s screen.
- Go to the menu, then scroll down to WhatsApp Web and finally you will reach the button showing “Log out from all devices”.
- Tap on log out. You will now be logged out from all the active sessions, and devices as well.
