Looking for a complete Dynamics 365 CRM monitoring solution? Get User Adoption Monitor for seamless tracking of Dynamics 365 CRM user actions!

Recently, our user actions monitoring app – User Adoption Monitor, a Preferred App on Microsoft AppSource – had released three new features making it a formidable app for tracking user actions across Dynamics 365 CRM/Power Apps. In our previous blog, you were given in-depth information about one of the newly released User Adoption Monitor feature – Data Completeness– which helps you to ensure that all Dynamics 365 CRM records have the necessary information required to conduct smooth business transactions. And now in this blog, we will shed more light on its remaining two new features – Aggregate Tracking & Target Tracking.

So, let’s see how these two new features will help you in tracking Dynamics 365 CRM/Power Apps user actions.

Aggregate Tracking

With this feature, you will be able to track the aggregations of respective numeric fields of the entity on which the specific user action has been defined. For example, as a Sales Manager you want to track how much sales your team has made for a specific period. To know this, all you have to do is configure aggregate tracking for the ‘Opportunity-win’ action. Once the tracking is done, you will get the SUM of the Actual Revenue of all the Opportunities won by each of your team members for a defined period of time. Similarly, you can get the aggregate value (SUM or AVG) of Budget Amount, Est. Revenue, Freight Amount, etc.

ximage001 2 625x277.png.pagespeed.ic.Crva0sLuKh Set Targets and Track Dynamics 365 CRM User Performance with Ease on Daily, Weekly or Monthly Basis

Target Tracking

Using this feature, you will be able to allot sales targets to your team members and keep regular track of it in Dynamics 365 CRM/Power Apps. You can set targets in both count & value. Consider a scenario where you want to appraise the performance of your sales team. With this feature, you can set a target for each of your team member,s and based on the tracking result will be able to analyze their performance easily. You can now track the performance of your team members using this feature in the following ways:

Target based on Aggregation Value

If you want to track the total sales value generated by your team members then you can use this feature and set the target in aggregate value. Once set, you can now monitor the performance of your team members by comparing the aggregate value of the target set and the total aggregate value of the target achieved by them on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

ximage002 625x242.png.pagespeed.ic.UID43CELeX Set Targets and Track Dynamics 365 CRM User Performance with Ease on Daily, Weekly or Monthly Basis

Target based on Count

Similarly, if you want to keep tab on the count of sales made by your team members then you can set the target in the count. Once set, you can now monitor and compare the target set (in count) and the total target achieved (in count) by your team members on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

ximage003 1 625x240.png.pagespeed.ic.nwaW0SYIMm Set Targets and Track Dynamics 365 CRM User Performance with Ease on Daily, Weekly or Monthly Basis

Target defined for Fixed Interval

In the above two scenarios, the Targets were defined with the Interval set as ‘Recurring’. In such cases, tracking will be done on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Other than that, you can also define the Target for a fixed period of time by setting the Interval as Fixed.

After you set the interval of Target Configuration as fixed, you can define the Start Date and End Date for which you want to set the target tracking.

With this, you can easily monitor and compare the target set and the total target achieved (both in count or aggregate value) by your team members for a given fixed period of time.

A handy app to have at the time for appraisals, isn’t it?

Tive raises $12 million to track freight shipments with sensors and algorithms

Tive, a startup whose platform captures real-world data to inform supply chain decisions, today raised $ 12 million in a venture equity deal. Tive says it’ll invest the funds in product R&D as it looks to expand geographically and hire on new workers.

The pandemic and corresponding rise in online shopping threaten to push supply chains to the breaking point. Early in the COVID-19 crisis, Amazon was forced to restrict the amount of inventory suppliers could send to its warehouses. Ecommerce order volume has increased by 50% compared with 2019, and shipment times for products like furniture more than doubled in March. Moreover, overall U.S. digital sales have jumped by 30%, expediting the online shopping transition by as much as two years.

Tive provides customers across industries like consumer packaged goods, logistics, produce, and retail real-time visibility into the shipment process, including location data and metrics like temperature, shock, light exposure, and humidity. The company’s 5G-ready, non-lithium battery-powered trackers and cloud-based software provide visibility into a shipment’s condition, allowing shippers to create profiles, set custom alerts, configure geofences, and use an API to pull data into existing record-keeping systems.

Tive raises $12 million to track freight shipments with sensors and algorithms

The Tive platform analyzes shipments’ data and turns it into actionable, real-time insights. It delivers alerts, reports, and tools to help customers understand and optimize supply chains.

Tive’s customers include Alpine Fresh, Crane Worldwide Logistics, Fastly, Aviagen, Hellmann Logistics, and BOA Logistics. One of the world’s largest logistics companies uses the platform to track pharmaceutical shipments across the globe, which Tive notes has taken on newfound importance with COVID-19 vaccine shipping underway, due to the temperature and shelf-life considerations for the front-running vaccines. Two vaccines — from Moderna and Pfizer — must be kept at temperatures below minus 20 degrees Celsius.

“Given the growing demand for Tive’s full line of tracking solutions, it was obvious that now was the time to dramatically expand our ability to meet industry demand,” CEO Krenar Komoni, who cofounded Tive in 2015 with Rob Stevens, said. “Gaining the support of RRE Ventures and Two Sigma Ventures, as well as our current valued investors, means we can leverage their expertise and focus on growing our customer-centric platform. The infusion of growth capital means bringing products to market faster, enhancing our sales and marketing efforts, adding key leadership, and growing our international presence.”

RRE Ventures and Two Sigma Ventures led the series A round announced today, with participation from existing investors NextView Ventures, Hyperplane Ventures, One Way Ventures, Fathom Ventures, and others. It brings Tive’s total raised to date to over $ 16 million.

Rekor, a controversial startup providing license plate-scanning technology, today announced that the state of Oklahoma will use its software to spot uninsured motorists on the road. As a part of an Oklahoma program (the Uninsured Vehicle Enforcement Diversion Program) that encourages cited uninsured drivers to avoid court appearances by acquiring insurance and paying a $ 174 fee, Rekor will identify the make, model, and color of vehicles and regularly update the insurance database connected to the state’s various enforcement programs.

Oklahoma’s program, which launched in November 2018, was created after the state ranked number one in the nation for uninsured motorists, with 2016 statistics showing that one out of four drivers in Oklahoma were operating vehicles without insurance. But while Oklahoma motorists must by law have coverage, it’s not a realistic proposition for some residents. Studies have found evidence of structural racism in auto insurance leading to higher premiums and subsequently higher levels of uninsured driving among Black people, for instance.

According to a press release, Rekor, which will receive a $ 43 processing fee for each auto insurance violation, will deploy technology including cameras to identify and process notices issued to uninsured drivers on the road. (Oklahoma law enforcement will issue “notices to respond” when cars are identified, encouraging owners to get insurance and comply with the law.) Rekor will also provide a web portal to find nonstandard and standard insurance for cars and it says it will retain data — which Oklahoma law prevents from being used for other purposes — for as long as a car is out of compliance.

“The goal of this … program is for all drivers to have at least the minimum required amount of liability insurance,” district attorney for Kay and Noble counties  Brian Hermanson said. “When an uninsured motorist causes a crash, innocent motorists are often forced to pay for repair bills, property damage and hospital bills. The new … program will help change that, and we believe it will also create safer roads for all drivers in Oklahoma.”

Maryland-based Rekor, which made headlines with a home surveillance service that monitors car owners and a collaboration with Mastercard to let restaurants build customer profiles from license plates, trumpets the program as an expansion of its work with law enforcement agencies to provide vehicle recognition services “supporting public safety.” (Rekor’s software is in use by over 69 counties throughout the U.S. and leverages an over 30-state real-time database that collects more than 150 million license plates every month.) But the program could disproportionately impact drivers with lower incomes and few means of paying fees; a Rekor spokesperson says the company is in talks with four other states to implement similar systems.

The average cost of auto insurance in Oklahoma is $ 1,531 a year (12.6% above the national average) and only 11 states have a lower median household income than Oklahoma ($ 48,568), according to the U.S. Census Bureau and Insure.com. Three states — California, Massachusetts, and Hawaii — prohibit the use of credit history in auto insurance rating and New York and Michigan prevent carriers from using of education level or occupation in ratings, but Oklahoma offers no such protections.

Rekor says it’s tasked a national broker with ensuring “all” uninsured drivers who visit the online portal are “underwritten fairly.” But the company declined to provide the name of the broker, and mistakes have already been made. KFOR-TV reported that one in twenty drivers flagged as uninsured by the system in 2019 were wrongly designated as violators, in some cases because they’d personally registered vehicles but commercially insured them.

Often, many drivers pay more for auto insurance simply because of their home ZIP code. Research from the Consumer Federation of America points to differences in each region among neighbors living within 100 yards of each other, sometimes as close as across the street or even next door. In each city tested, the higher-priced ZIP code had a lower median income and a higher percentage of nonwhite residents than the neighboring, lower-premium ZIP code.

“When we create this panopticon of vehicle tracking, you create the opportunity to track innocent [and disenfranchised] people in public,” Albert Fox Cahn, executive director of the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, said of Rekor in a recent interview with CNET. “It’s far past time for our court systems to catch up and realize that when people are deploying these AI systems in the public space, they are stripping countless bystanders of their privacy.”

Data Completeness a must for Data Quality – Track completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor!

November 9, 2020   Microsoft Dynamics CRM

xTrack completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor 625x357.jpg.pagespeed.ic.51pHFlbEKe Data Completeness a must for Data Quality – Track completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor!

In our previous post, you were briefly introduced to the latest three new features of User Adoption Monitor – one of our popular Dynamics 365 CRM user actions tracking app. Being one of the Preferred Apps on Microsoft AppSource, User Adoption Monitor has always helped organizations around the world to enhance its Dynamics 365 CRM/Power Apps user productivity by monitoring user actions and providing credible analysis of their performance.

In this post, we will see how User Adoption Monitor can further improve the overall user productivity throughout the organization with its latest feature – Data Completeness.

Data Completeness feature will help you to track and ensure the completeness of any entity record in Dynamics 365 CRM/Power Apps. With this feature, you can choose the field(s) in any entity record that are essential for an organization to be captured and ensure that data is within CRM. If it is not captured, then the status of that record will be shown as ‘Incomplete’.

Now, let’s see how this is done.

Consider a scenario where you have discovered that most of the records in Contact entity does not have the necessary contact details of customers such as Email id, Mobile no. or Company name. Since the details are not readily available, you often spend your time searching for the right contact information. And in business world where time is of essence, every minute counts as it determines whether you win or lose a potential deal or customer.

In order to overcome this situation, you can make use of the ‘Data Completeness’ feature of User Adoption Monitor. For this, you have to go to Entity Configuration in User Adoption Monitor, configure a new data completeness entity for ‘Contacts’, choose the mandatory fields for which data needs to be captured and save it.

xTrack completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor 1 625x355.png.pagespeed.ic.wcb QfOBk5 Data Completeness a must for Data Quality – Track completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor!

Now, whenever a new record is created in Contact entity, this feature will ensure that all the mandatory field selected by you is duly filled. If no data is entered in those fields then the status of that record will be displayed as ‘Incomplete’.

xTrack completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor 2 625x216.png.pagespeed.ic.POPJGJwdM Data Completeness a must for Data Quality – Track completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor!

Once the data is duly filled in those fields the status of the record will be displayed as ‘Complete’.

xTrack completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor 3 625x199.png.pagespeed.ic.Mz9A5gnCE3 Data Completeness a must for Data Quality – Track completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor!

In this way, you can ensure that the user never skips information while entering data in the CRM and all the newly created records in Contact entity has the essential information as required.

But what about the already existing records in Contact entity?

No worries! User Adoption Monitor has made provision for this scenario also.

In order to check the completeness of the history records you have to just create a separate on-demand workflow for ‘Contact’ entity.

xTrack completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor 4 625x332.png.pagespeed.ic.HCmzmm53jN Data Completeness a must for Data Quality – Track completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor!

After the workflow is activated, open any existing record in ‘Contact’ entity, go to flow and click on the newly created workflow.

xTrack completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor 5 625x239.png.pagespeed.ic.cOARQaXLXX Data Completeness a must for Data Quality – Track completeness of Dynamics 365 CRM records with User Adoption Monitor!

Once the workflow has run, the status of the record will be displayed as per the completeness of the record.

Quite handy, isn’t it?

With this feature in hand, you can rest easy and will no longer have to invest precious time in search of essential information. This will further enhance your productivity and overall output in terms of meeting business goals.

Now, all you have to do is go to our website or Microsoft AppSource and download User Adoption Monitor for a trial period of 15 days and explore this latest ‘Data Completeness’ feature for yourself.

While we have been talking about data quality and completeness, there are chances of errors while entering data and we have another cool app to ensure all is in order – Click2Undo (Preferred App on AppSource) – 1 Click to Undo changes in Dynamics 365 CRM Records in Bulk – Restore History Changes & Deleted Records as well!

Track Targets, Ensure Data Completeness and more – User Adoption Monitor a must for your Dynamics 365 CRM!

August 29, 2020   Microsoft Dynamics CRM

608x348xUser Adoption 1.jpg.pagespeed.ic.l5VXzzAkm Track Targets, Ensure Data Completeness and more – User Adoption Monitor a must for your Dynamics 365 CRM!

User Adoption Monitor (Preferred App on Microsoft AppSource)is what you need to track, monitor and review user adoption of Dynamics 365 CRM. Be it the daily user login details or tracking user actions across CRM, User Adoption Monitor does the job seamlessly. And now with the release of three new features, it is on its way to be the must-have app for monitoring user actions within Dynamics 365 CRM.

Without further ado, let’s have a brief look into the newly released features of User Adoption Monitor.

  • Data Completeness
  • Aggregate Tracking
  • Target Tracking

Data Completeness

If you want to identify whether the respective entity records in Dynamics 365 CRM have all the attributes/necessary data that completes the record, then ‘Datacompleteness’ is the feature you are looking for. With ‘Datacompleteness’ you will have the provision to choose which of the fields from the records of selected entity need to be filled in to make sure that the record is complete. And in case if any of these defined fields are left blank, then the completeness of the record would be reflected as ‘Incomplete’ until all the specified fields have been duly filled. So now you will be able to easily ensure that all the necessary information about your customers is available within CRM.

625x268x1User Adoption Monitor.png.pagespeed.ic.mHqoEr ery Track Targets, Ensure Data Completeness and more – User Adoption Monitor a must for your Dynamics 365 CRM!

Aggregate Tracking

With ‘Aggregate Tracking’ feature, you will be able to track the aggregations of respective numeric fields of the entity on which the specific user action has been defined. To understand better, let’s take an example of ‘Opportunity-win’ action. Here, you can see that with aggregate tracking you can get the SUM of the Actual Revenue of all the Opportunities won by the users for a defined period of time. In this way, you can get the aggregate value (SUM or AVG) of Budget Amount, Est. Revenue, Freight Amount, etc.

Target Tracking

With the help of ‘Target Tracking’ in User Adoption Monitor, you can allot and keep track of targets assigned to users in Dynamics 365 CRM. Here, you can assign the users a total number of targets or total value of targets to be achieved for given period of time. These targets can be set against the count of the respective entity actions or against the aggregate value of fields with respect to an entity action performed by the user. For example, you can set a target of winning 10 opportunities a day for each user in your organisation and then keep a track of the same. At the end of the day you can compare the performance of each user based on the targets achieved by them.

Target based on Count

625x268x3User Adoption Monitor.png.pagespeed.ic.c20FNKkC 9 Track Targets, Ensure Data Completeness and more – User Adoption Monitor a must for your Dynamics 365 CRM!

Target based on Value

Similarly, you can set a target of winning Opportunities worth 50,000/- per day for each user and then compare how much each of them have achieved at the end of the day.

625x268x4User Adoption Monitor.png.pagespeed.ic.1BMdUz39aF Track Targets, Ensure Data Completeness and more – User Adoption Monitor a must for your Dynamics 365 CRM!

COVID-19 & Increased Use of Microsoft Teams: Track Minutes

April 24, 2020   Microsoft Dynamics CRM

If You’re Using Teams to Work Remotely, Don’t Forget About Your Microsoft Teams Minutes

All across the globe, more people are working remotely than ever before. On the one hand, this makes cloud-based CRM solutions like Dynamics 365 CRM more important than ever. At the same time, more companies are turning to remote communication solutions like Microsoft Teams for remote project collaboration and video conferencing.

There’s no question that Teams is a great platform for remote collaboration. But as numerous organizations have begun using Teams more than they typically would, some of them have hit a snag: they’re maxing out their pooled Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) minutes. These same businesses are often unaware that there is a PSTN dial-in/dial-out cap to begin with, and are surprised when they receive an email notification that they’re about to hit their monthly maximum.

What are PSTN minutes, and how can this impact your organization? Does running out of minutes mean you can’t call in to Teams meetings? We’ll answer these questions and more below.

Microsoft Teams and PSTN Audio Conferencing Minutes

When a user in Teams has a dedicated dial-in phone number for conference meetings, they’re assigned an “Audio Conferencing” license and allocated up to 60 minutes per month of “pooled” conferencing minutes. These PSTN minutes are set aside for conference calls, meaning that they’re separate from any other domestic or international plans that you might have. These “Audio Conferencing” licenses can be set up via “Office 365 E5” or “Microsoft 365 E5” bundles, or can be purchased separately as an add-on.

The number of pooled PSTN minutes that your organization has access to per month is a function of the total number of “Audio Conferencing” licenses that you have. For example, an organization comprised of 100 users (each with their own “Audio Conferencing” license) would have access to 100 x 60 = 6,000 pooled PSTN minutes per month. Once you’ve used up these minutes, you’ll no longer have PSTN dial-in or dial-out functionality for your Teams Meetings.

You will still have the ability to participate in Microsoft Teams meetings via the Team web or desktop apps, however. That’s because connecting to Teams meeting audio via the Internet doesn’t use up any of your PSTN minutes. This means it’s a good idea to connect to Teams meeting audio via your desktop or mobile app whenever possible rather than calling in. Not only does this conserve your PSTN minutes, it also typically provides better audio quality.

Check Your Teams PSTN Minutes Usage

It’s easy to see how many PSTN minutes you have left for the month using the Teams portal.

  1. First, log into the new Microsoft Teams portal as either a Global Administrator or Teams Communications Administrator. Next, click the Admin tile.

  1. Under Admin Centers, click Teams.

  1. In the left-hand menu, click Analytics & Reports, select Usage Reports, and then choose “PSTN minutes and SMS (preview) pools” from the Report dropdown menu.

  1. Finally, click Run Report. This will display your total minutes for the month, how many you’ve used so far, and how many PSTN minutes you have remaining.

Microsoft Teams for Remote Collaboration

When it comes to collaborating from a distance, Microsoft Teams is the ideal solution. While cloud-based CRM software like Dynamics 365 CRM can provide you with remote access to important customer data, Teams is essential for keeping in touch with coworkers and sharing important files and data.

As long as you connect to Teams meeting audio via the Internet, you won’t have to worry about using up your monthly PSTN minutes. If you do find yourself running low on minutes, however, you can purchase Communication Credits to get you through the rest of the month. The experts at JourneyTEAM can guide you through this process. To learn more about how JourneyTEAM can help your organization get the most out of Microsoft Teams, click here.

Track CRM usage and Team Performance by administering Dynamics 365 CRM User Adoption

March 13, 2020   Microsoft Dynamics CRM

606x347xUAM.gif.pagespeed.ic.A psIj2oSb Track CRM usage and Team Performance by administering Dynamics 365 CRM User Adoption

Any organization cannot emphasize enough on how crucial User Adoption is for any system. With proper user adoption the teams are able to perform better and be in sync with the system updates. Since, tracking each and every individual in a system is not easy, there can be a collective unit where these updates are recorded. Dynamics 365 CRM is such a system which needs close monitoring and administering of user actions. In order to make this possible we have a robust app User Adoption Monitor (Preferred App on Microsoft AppSource) which works with both on-premise as well as online.

As the name suggests, this app monitors adoption of Dynamics 365 CRM by users and track their actions. The managers can track the CRUD actions along with few more custom actions. At any given time, if there is proper user adoption of Dynamics 365 the business can perform better and strategize to grow the Sales.

With User Adoption Monitor, this is taken care of and top performing team members are also tracked with the help of leaderboards. Let’s walk through how User Adoption Monitor helps in tracking user adoption:

Track Actions

Actions are Create, Read, Update and Delete is tracked with the help of User Adoption Monitor. Apart from these actions other actions like login, set state, form open and others are also tracked.

1Track CRM usage and Team Performance by administering Dynamics 365 CRM User Adoption.png.pagespeed.ce.V0IJt2PtJS Track CRM usage and Team Performance by administering Dynamics 365 CRM User Adoption

CRM Adoption Tracking

With the help of User Adoption Monitor managers can also track the adoption of CRM by various users by monitoring its usage through team members for various web activities performed by them manually.

Configurable Monitoring

The monitoring can be customized for selected entities and also for chosen activities by the CRM users. This can be done for the actions and entities required as per business necessities.

Quick Analysis

The tracking is stored in CRM in a user friendly form which can be seen by the managers and also can be reported with the help of OOB charts or SSRS reports.

Google’s Objectron uses AI to track 3D objects in 2D video

March 12, 2020   Big Data

Coinciding with the kickoff of the 2020 TensorFlow Developer Summit, Google today published a pipeline — Objectron — that spots objects in 2D images and estimates their poses and sizes through an AI model. The company says it has implications for robotics, self-driving vehicles, image retrieval, and augmented reality — for instance, it could help a factory floor robot avoid obstacles in real time.

Tracking 3D objects is a tricky prospect, particularly when dealing with limited compute resources (like a smartphone system-on-chip). And it becomes tougher when the only imagery (usually video) available is 2D due to a lack of data and a diversity of appearances and shapes of objects.

The Google team behind Objectron, then, developed a toolset that allowed annotators to label 3D bounding boxes (i.e., rectangular borders) for objects using a split-screen view to display 2D video frames. 3D bounding boxes were overlaid atop it alongside point clouds, camera positions, and detected planes. Annotators drew 3D bounding boxes in the 3D view and verified their locations by reviewing the projections in 2D video frames, and for static objects, they only had to annotate the target object in a single frame. The tool propagated the object’s location to all frames using ground truth camera pose information from AR session data.

To supplement the real-world data in order to boost the accuracy of the AI model’s predictions, the team developed an engine that placed virtual objects into scenes containing AR session data. This allowed for the use of camera poses, detected planar surfaces, and estimated lighting to generate physically probable placements with lighting that matches the scene, which resulted in high-quality synthetic data with rendered objects that respected the scene geometry and fit seamlessly into real backgrounds. In validation tests, accuracy increased by about 10% with the synthetic data.

Better still, the team says the current version of the Objectron model is lightweight enough to run in real time on flagship mobile devices. With the Adreno 650 mobile graphics chip found in phones like the LG V60 ThinQ, Samsung Galaxy S20+, and Sony Xperia 1 II, it’s able to process around 26 frames per second.

The Objectron is available in MediaPipe, a framework for building cross-platform AI pipelines consisting of fast inference and media processing (like video decoding). Models trained to recognize shoes and chairs are available, as well as an end-to-end demo app.

The team says that in the future, it plans to share additional solutions with the research and development community to stimulate new use cases, applications, and research efforts. Additionally, it intends to scale the Objectron model to more categories of objects and further improve its on-device performance.
